The Rabbit MacKay Somis Rhythm Band / Bug Cloth (Sold Out)
Uni Records 73026 (1968)(US) Rare original issue Record. I recommend this record by Rabbit Mackay & his Somis Rhythm Band to
fans of 60's psych-folk-rock-blues obscurities. The music is pretty varied with a few rockers and a couple tracks that feature harpsichord.
"Candy" is a blues-stomp that veers into garage rock, while "Hard Time Woman" sounds more like a Holy Modal Rounders blues outing.
"Big Sur" and "John's Lament" are gentle psych-folk numbers. "Baby Jennifer" is in the angry folk singer gets back at old girlfriend genre.
"West Grogan Dormitory Blues" is a more rockin' but similarly-themed number with plenty of snottiness in the vocals. Cool stuff overall.

Maids of Gravity / Strange Channel (Blue vinyl)(Import)
Vernon Yard Records VUSMLP-85 (1995)(UK) Import issue Record on Blue vinyl. Maids of Gravity briefly floated into the public consciousness
with the hallucinogenic song "Only Dreaming" in 1995, a track from their self-titled debut album. This 5-track EP (pressed on Blue vinyl)

Man Or Astro-man? / Intravenous Television Continuum (Purple vinyl)(Import)
One Louder Records LOUDER 8 (1995)(UK) Import issue Record on Purple vinyl. "Intravenous Television Continuum" doesn't deviate from

Manfred Mann / The Five Faces of Manfred Mann
Ascot Records ALS-16018 (1965)(US) Original issue Stereo Record. The band's second American LP (which shares its title with their first
British album) was a respectable mix of R&B and pop. For pop, there were "Sha La La" and "Come Tomorrow," two of their biggest mid-'60s
hits, and "She," one of their best self-penned efforts in that vein. For R&B, there was the original "Hubble Bubble (Toil and Trouble),"
a British hit, and some nice covers. The Record and Cover are in great (Very Good++) condition...$50.00

Manfred
Manfred Mann / Mann Made
Ascot Records ALM-13024 (1966)(US) Original issue Mono Record. If it isn't as fierce, bold, or daringly ambitious as Manfred Mann's'
debut album, "Mann Made" is just as much a virtuoso effort, and a surprisingly cohesive one, considering that it was released immediately
after Mike Vickers and Paul Jones announced their respective departures from the band.
The Record shows major wear (Good to Very Good) and the Cover look fairly nice (Very Good+) condition...$15.00

Manfred Mann / Pretty Flamingo
United Artists Records UAL-3549 (1966)(US) Original issue Stereo Record. As was the custom in the U.S. (as opposed to England),
the producers put the group's current pop hit single on the LP as a lure to boost sales, but as with their other releases, the rest
of the album is loaded up with hard R&B, soul, and blues, and delivered all of the music that white middle-class parents were scared
to death their kids would hear. This was a swansong for the original band, and what a way to go, showing off just how subversive
this band's albums were. The Record and Cover are in nice (Very Good+ to Very Good++) condition...$30.00

Barbara Manning / Lately I Keep Scissors (Promo) (Sold Out)

Mary's Danish / There Goes the Wondertruck...
Chameleon Records DI-74803 (1990)(US) Standard issue Record. Drawing on influences ranging from punk to funk to rockabilly, the X-influenced
Mary's Danish is unapologetically freewheeling when digging into aggressive, raw treasures like "Blue Stockings," "Shanty Pig" and "Don't Crash

The Masked Marauders / The Masked Marauders (Promo)
WB/Reprise/Deity Records RS-6378 (1969)(US) Promotional issue Record. Following the wake of the "supergroup hype" of the late '60s
(Blind Faith, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Led Zeppelin), a joke review ran in Rolling Stone magazine about an album that didn't exist
by a group called the Masked Marauders, supposedly consisting of John Lennon, George Harrison, Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger and Bob Dylan
(produced by Al Kooper). Some months later, this album by the Masked Marauders appeared, causing a good deal of controversy. It wasn't
recorded by the above named superstars (the last song on the album being a disclaimer stating that fact). It was actually a band called
The Cleanliness and Godliness Skiffle Band. The Record (promo label) and Cover are in great (Very Good++) condition (with insert)...$40.00

Sub Pop Records SP-404 (1997)(US) Sealed Record on high quality vinyl. The previous album only made a passing acknowledgment of rock;

Mordicai Jones (Link Wray) / Mordicai Jones (Sold Out)
Polydor Records PD-5010 (1971)(US) Standard issue Record. The "Mordicai Jones" of the title was actually Bobby Howard, who played piano
and mandolin on the Link Wray sessions and whose strong, blues-leaning voice lacked the idiosyncrasies of Wray's TB-ravaged instrument.
It sounds like music made by folks who actually worked the farm they lived on, and the rough energy of these sessions wears a lot better
than what most of their contemporaries were doing. Link Wray also plays some fine slide guitar too.

blues-country gospel version of Hank Williams' honky tonk nugget "You Win Again" (with a fine fiddle solo by Johnny Gimble). Some of the guest
stars on this album include Boz Scaggs, Hargus Robins, Ben Keith, D.J. Fontana, and Pete Drake. "Make a Joyful Noise" remains an overlooked
classic from the Warner Brothers catalog. The Record and Gatefold-type Cover are in great (Very Good++ to Mint-) condition...$20.00

Mungo Jerry / Mungo Jerry
GRT/Janus Records JXS-7000 (1970)(US) Original issue Record. Mungo Jerry is one of rock's great one-hit successes. Outside of England,
they're known for exactly one song, but that song, "In the Summertime," is a seasonal anthem known by listeners who weren't even born when
it was released. Mungo Jerry was a solid rock and roll outfit as well as skiffle and blues band.
The Record and Gatefold Cover are in great (Very Good++) condition...$20.00

The Music Machine / Best Of The Music Machine (Sold Out)
Rhino Records RNLP-119 (1984)(US) Standard issue Record. Besides "Talk Talk" and "The People in Me," this album features the best cuts from
their first LP, some fine non-LP singles that rank among the best obscure gems of the psychedelic era, and some decent previously unissued cuts.
The Record and Cover are in great (Very Good+ to Very Good++) condition...$15.00 (SOLD 01/11)

My Bloody Valentine / Isn't Anything (Sealed)
Relativity/Creation Records 1006 (1988)(US) Rare Sealed original issue Record on U.S. vinyl. My Bloody Valentine's "Isn't Anything" is nearly as
groundbreaking as their 1991 masterpiece and virtually created the shoegazing scene while spawning legions of followers. The album's tightly
structured songs bear traces of My Bloody Valentine's previous incarnation as jangly indie popsters and captures the band's revolutionary style
in its infancy as it points the way to "Loveless". The Record and Cover (with title sticker) are in perfect (Mint) condition...$75.00
