ROCK ~ BLUES ~ PSYCH ~ BLUES ~ ROCK
The Steve Miller Band / Brave New World
Capitol Records SKAO-184 (1969)(US) Original issue Record. Ever the borrower, adapter and integrator, Steve Miller shapes the blues,
psychedelia, sound effects, sweet multi-tracked vocal harmonies and guitar-driven hard rock into one cohesive musical statement with
"Brave New World". Steve Miller's guitar playing is the star of this album, blazing across the whole affair more prominently than on
any other release in his lengthy career. The Record and Gatefold Cover are in great (Very Good++) condition...$25.00
The Steve Miller Band / Number 5 (Sealed)
Capitol Records SKAO-436 (SKAO-80436)(1970)(US) Rare and hard to find Sealed Record. "Number 5" was the fifth LP by the Steve Miller Band
in just over two years. While it compares favorably to its immediate predecessor, "Your Saving Grace", it is not quite up to the consistent
excellence of the potent "Brave New World" from the previous summer. However, it does have a fair share of delights, especially the opening
triumvirate of "Good Morning," "I Love You" and "Going to the Country." These selections, and all of side one, have a distinctly more rural
feel than did previous recordings, due perhaps to the fact that the tracks were recorded in Nashville. Charlie McCoy contributes harmonica
to several of these cuts and Buddy Spicher plays fiddle on "Going to the Country" while Bobby Thompson adds banjo to "Tokin's."
The Record and Gatefold Cover (with promo hole in top left corner) are in great (Very Good++ to Mint-) condition...$60.00
The Steve Miller Band / Children of the Future ~ Living In the USA (Sealed)
Capitol Records STBB-717 (1971)(US) Sealed Double reissue Records. This set includes the Steve Miller Band's first two albums with "Sailor"
being retitled as "Living In the U.S.A.". The Records and Cover (held together by OBI-type strip) are in excellent (Mint) condition...$75.00
The Steve Miller Band / Anthology
Capitol Records SVBB-11114 (1972)(US) Double Record on U.S. vinyl. "Anthology" is a 16-track sampling of the Steve Miller Band's
first five albums, which realistically are the only releases that matter as the rest was commercially successful but basically crap.
The Records and Gatefold Cover (with promo hole in top left corner) are in great (Very Good++ to Mint-) condition...$20.00
