Doug Sahm / Doug Sahm and Band (Sold Out)
Atlantic Records SD-7254 (1973)(US) Original issue Record. Doug Sahm's first solo album in 1972, after the Sir Douglas Quintet finished
its contract with Smash/Mercury Records. Atlantic Records co-owner/producer Jerry Wexler convinced him to sign to his label and gave
the Texas maverick the chance to cut a star-studded, big-budget album, in New York City. Wexler and Arif Mardin helmed a series of sessions
with an ever-revolving cast of musicians featuring Bob Dylan, Dr. John, David "Fathead" Newman, David Bromberg, and Flaco Jimenez plus
Sir Doug stalwart Augie Meyers and their rhythm section. The Record and Cover are in nice (Very Good+) condition...$15.00 (SOLD 11/07)

Merl Saunders ~ Jerry Garcia / Live At the Keystone
Fantasy Records F-79002 (1973)(US) Original issue Double Record. A live album recorded in July 1973 by a band featuring Jerry Garcia
with keyboardist Merl Saunders, bassist John Kahn and drummer Bill Vitt. The set indicates Garcia's eclectic taste with the band covering
Bob Dylan, Jimmy Cliff, Rodgers and Hart and Arthur Crudup, among others. It all has the same loosely structured, unhurried style familiar
from Garcia's work with The Grateful Dead. The Record and Gatefold Cover are in nice (Very Good+) condition...$15.00

Merl Saunders Jerry Garcia Live At Keystone lp

Merl Saunders Jerry Garcia Tom Fogerty Fire Up lp
Merl Saunders (with Jerry Garcia ~ Tom Fogerty) / Fire Up
Fantasy Records 9421 (1973)(US) Original issue Record. This Merl Saunders supergroup comprised of members from both the Grateful Dead
and Creedence Clearwater Revival. The slightly unkempt nature of the Bay Area psychedelic rockers adds a nice atmosphere. The big airplay
number of the time was the opener, "After Midnight." The Record and Cover are in great (Very Good++) condition...$15.00

Fred Schneider / The Shake Society (Sealed)
Warner Bros. Records 25158 (1984)(US) Sealed Original issue Record. "Monster," the lead song and single from the album was not only the best
but one of the most B-52's-like with Kate Pierson turning in one of several guest performances and Fred Schneider clearly having deadpan fun
throughout. The brand new Record and Cover (small promotional cut in bottom right corner) are in excellent (Mint/Mint-) condition...$20.00

the b-52's Fred Schneider Just Fred Sealed lp
Fred Schneider / Just... Fred (Sealed)
WB/Reprise Records 46215 (1996)(US) Sealed Original issue Record. Fred Schneider's very conviction to the project gives "Just... Fred"
as much power as the guitars themselves. He brought in indie-rock star producer Steve Albini, who brought along Russell Simins from
the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Rick Sims of the Didjits and the Supersuckers, and Tom Zaluckyj of Tar as support.
Most of the record is simple and enjoyable rock & roll. The brand new Record and Cover are in perfect (Mint) condition...$25.00

Eberhard Schoener / Video Magic (Sealed)
Harvest Records ST-12171 (1981)(US) Sealed Original issue Record. Eberhard Schoener's atmospheric washes of keyboards are to be duly noted,
but the undeniable focus of interest here is the constant presence of his guest backing band the Police. This album, and Schoener's influence,
caught the Police at a turning point in their development from a guitar band in "Zenyatta Mondatta" to a moodier studio band with a broader
sonic palette in "Ghost in the Machine". The brand new Record and Cover are in excellent (Mint) condition...$30.00

The Screaming Blue Messiahs / Bikini Red (Red 12")
Elektra Records ED-5282 (1987)(US) Promotional 12” Record on colored (Red) vinyl. This band is very high on the "whatever happened to..."
list. At times they played with such ferocity and complete over-the-top abandon that it was easy to proclaim them one of the best English
bands in ages. But after three records (all very good) and about five years together (1984-1989), they vanished without a trace — a mystery

The Record and Cover are in excelent (Very Good++ to Mint-) condition...$15.00

their Sweet Oblivion album. Side (1) features the track Dollar Bill. Side (2) features the tracks (1)(There'll Be) Peace In The Valley (For Me)

Screaming Trees / Other Worlds (Test Pressing) (Sold Out)
SST Records 105 (1985)(US) Rare Promotional Test Pressing Record on U.S. vinyl. It is a big piece of Screaming Trees history being
their debut release. Though the production work on this record is reflective of the early stage in their career (in which the group
recorded this effort), it is still an interesting and catchy set of songs. Absent are the menacing, distorted guitars and crashing
drums of the group's later sound. Instead, are stripped-down, clean-toned psychedelic rockers that owe more to the edgy psych pop of
early R.E.M. than the traditional harder Seattle sound that the Screaming Trees were all too frequently defined by.
The Record and Cover (plain white with title sticker) are in great (Very Good++) condition...$60.00 (SOLD 11/08)

Scud Mountain Boys / Massachusetts (Sealed) (Sold Out)
Sub Pop Records SP-342 (1996)(US) Original Sealed Record on U.S. vinyl. "Massachusetts" feels better crafted than the band's previous
two albums — more mature in terms of songwriting - it retains the easy-going, kitchen-table spirit that marked the band's earlier work.
The brand new Record and Cover are in excellent (Mint) condition...$20.00 (SOLD 01/08)

Seam / The Problem With Me (Sold 02/07)
Touch and Go Records TG-118 (1993)(US) Sealed Original issue Record. After their transitional "Kernel" EP and further lineup shifting,
Seam settled into a quartet format, ended up in Chicago to record with Brad Wood, and created one of the best albums of the early '90s.

Seam / Are You Driving Me Crazy? (Sold 02/07)
Touch and Go Records TG-142 (1995)(US) Sealed Original issue Record. For the first time, singer Sooyoung Park (working with a
whole new band) creates notably long songs, with four out of ten running over five minutes and resulting in the longest Seam album yet.

Brian Setzer / The Knife Feels Like Justice (Promo)
EMI America Records ST-17178 (1986)(US) Promotional issue record. Upon disbanding the Stray Cats, Brian Setzer reinvented himself as a
heartland rocker simular in the vein to John Mellencamp or Bruce Springsteen. His solo debut, "The Knife Feels Like Justice" possesses
a maturity and depth largely lacking from his previous retro-rockabilly efforts.
The Record and Cover (promo stamp on top right corner) are in excellent (Mint-) condition...$10.00

Brian Setzer / Live Nude Guitar
EMI America Records ST-17178 (1986)(US) Standard issue record. Brian Setzer's second solo album was another attempt at Heartland rock.
After not finding an audience, Setzer took some time off, regrouped (with a very big band) and found his mark with a brand new sound.
The Record and Cover are in excellent (Very Good++) condition...$10.00

Brian Setzer / Guitar Slinger (Sealed) (Sold Out)
Interscope Records 90051 (1996)(US) Sealed original issue record. On his second Orchestra album and fourth solo album overall, Brian Setzer
extends the genre exercise in jump blues he first tackled on the previous Orchestra album. Setzer takes this music seriously and turns in a
credible version of it through a combination of craft and conviction.
The brand new Record and Cover (with title sticker) are in excellent (Mint) condition...$25.00 (SOLD 03/10)

Sharks / First Water
MCA Records 351 (1973)(US) Standard issue Record. The debut by the band Sharks resembles Bad Company, with lead vocalist Snips sounding
like Paul Rodgers (or that gravel voice Rod Stewart made the most of) accompanied by guitar great Chris Spedding, drummer Marty Simon,
and bassist Andy Fraser from the group Free. The Record and Cover are in great (Very Good++) condition...$15.00

Sharks / Jab It In Yore Eye
MCA Records 415 (1974)(US) Standard issue Record. "Jab It in Yore Eye" feels more unified than the first album with the addition of new bassist
Busta Cherry Jones, and the expansion of the group to five pieces with keyboardist Nicky Judd provides more definition. They've abandoned the hint
of glam from their debut and replaced it with low-key mellow blues. The Record and Cover are in great (Very Good++) condition...$15.00

Sheena and The Rokkets / Sheena and The Rokkets (Promo)

Ricky Van Shelton / Backroads (Sealed)
Columbia Records C-46885 (1991)(US) Sealed limited issue Record. This is a fine record as Ricky Van Shelton balances the self-pity of
songs like "After the Lights Go Out" with the uptempo punch of stuff like "Call Me Up." Though it just missed the top of the country charts,
"Backroads" kept Ricky's hit streak going strong, producing two more number ones in "Keep It Between the Lines" and "I Am a Simple Man"
(giving him a total of nine) and a number two hit in the title track. The Record and Cover are in perfect (Mint) condition...$50.00

Ricky Van Shelton Backroads Sealed lp

Cybill Shepherd / Cybill does it to Cole Porter (Sold Out)
Paramount Records PAS-1018 (1974)(US) Standard issue Record. Certainly not the definitive versions of Cole Porter's music, but campy, fun,
and extremely informative. A unique curiosity because of the names involved, and more entertaining than Patty Duke singing "Valley of the Dolls."
The Record and Gatefold Cover are in great (Very Good++) condition...$12.00 (SOLD 08/10)

Cybill Shepherd Cybill does it to Cole Porter lp

Shoes / Black Vinyl Shoes (Sold Out)
PVC Records 7904 (1978)(US) Standard reissue Record on U.S. vinyl. "Black Vinyl Shoes" is an album whose somewhat primitive production
actually works in its favor; with 15 tunes to record and only four tracks on hand, Shoes made a record that was about melodies, hooks,
and harmonies. The result was an album that helped kick start the '80s pop revival — and still sounds fine almost a quarter of a century later.
The Record and Cover are in great (Very Good++) condition...$10.00 (SOLD 04/08)

Shoes Black Vinyl Shoes lp

the Sights Got What We Want lp
The Sights / Got What We Want
Fall of Rome Records FOR-1007 (2002)(US) Standard issue Record. "Got What We Want" is a melodically complex and accomplished album,
and ample evidence that this young band from Detroit have an unspoken understanding of what made primal '60s garage rock and early '70s
power pop so exhilarating and memorable in the first place. The album is predominant with crunchy guitars, catchy percussive elements
and memorable hooks. The Record and Cover (in shrinkwrap) are in excellent (Mint-) condition...$10.00

Silos / Cuba (with Poster) (Sold Out)
Record Collect Records RC-22 (1987)(US) Original issue Record. "Cuba" has become something of a low-flying classic since its release in 1987.
The Silos' brand of rock & roll qualifies as pre-Uncle Tupelo alternative country, highlighted by the addition of Mary Rowell's violin.
Quiet moments offer a nice contrast to slashing guitar and drum tracks, and both styles come together to form a satisfying whole
on this album. The Record and Cover are in nice (Very Good+ to Very Good++) condition (includes poster/Mint-)...$15.00 (SOLD 03/10)

Brent Mydland Tom Leadon Silver Wham Bam Sealed lp
Silver / Silver (Sealed)
Arista Records AL-4076 (1976)(US) Sealed original issue record. Silver, had band members Brent Mydland (later the Grateful Dead's Keyboardist)
and Tom Leadon (brother of the Eagles' Bernie Leadon) and delivered soft Southern California country rock. "Wham Bam" (also known as "Wham Bam
Shang-A-Lang"), was the hit from the album. The Record and Cover (With title sticker) are in excellent (Mint) condition...$40.00

Shel Silverstein / Crouchin' on the Outside (Sold Out)
Janus Records 2JLS-3052 (1973)(US) Original issue Double Record. Shel Silverstein was one of those rare "multi-threat" artists — composer,
singer, cartoonist, illustrator, author — with popular successes in all of those areas. This album is celebrated in sophisticated musical circles
for it's satirical and adult-oriented songs. The Records and Cover are in nice (Very Good+ to Very Good++) condition...$20.00 (SOLD 04/09)

Shel Silverstein Crouchin' on the Outside lp

Shel Silverstein / Where the Sidewalk Ends (Picture Disc)
Columbia Records 9C9-39611 (1984)(US) Limited Edition Picture Disc Record. Shel Silverstein already had plenty of experience in the
recording studio, and his musical delivery of his poems is certainly unique. He sounds a little like Emo Phillips reading verse. Children
enjoy it, but the adults who have to listen to it over and over with them will be spooked. This album is sure to have fans who treasure it
for its disquietingly offbeat delivery. The Record and Plastic Cover (with lyric insert) are in excellent (Mint/Mint-) condition...$30.00

Sir Douglas Quintet / The Best of Sir Douglas Quintet
Tacoma Records TAK-7086 (1980)(US) Original issue Record. For once a greatest-hits set devoted to a '60s rock act presents a fairly good
picture of what the group's music was all about. The hits are here, beginning with "Mendocino," moving through "She's About a Mover" and
including songs that will be personal favorites for any fan of the band. The Record and Cover are in great (Mint-) condition...$15.00

The Best of Sir Douglas Quintet lp

Sister Double Happiness / Sister Double Happiness
SST Records 162 (1988)(US) Original Record on U.S. vinyl. A blazing debut of blues/punk originals distinctive for Gary Floyd's desperate
growl, guitarist Ben Cohen's fiery work and the band's urgency. The songwriting is strong and the band come closest to capturing their raw
power as an exceptional live band here. The Record and Cover are in excellent (Mint-) condition...$15.00

Warner Brothers/Reprise Records in 1991 for this album, "Heart and Mind", but failed to find them a wider audience. That same year
the band won a Bammie (Bay Area Music Award) for Outstanding Club Band.
The brand new Record and Cover are in excellent (Mint-) condition (vinyl was only available as a Promotional release)...$40.00

Skankin' Pickle / Skafunkrastapunk (Sealed)

Sly & The Family Stone / Greatest Hits
CBS/Epic Records KE-30325 (1970)(US) Original issue Record. This summarizes Sly & The Family Stone's first four albums perfectly (almost all
of "Stand" is here), adding the non-LP singles "Hot Fun in the Summertime," "Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)," and "Everybody Is a Star".
possibly the loveliest thing they ever recorded. It's one of the greatest party records of all time.

Snakefinger / Chewing Hides the Sound (Import)
Virgin/Ralph Records V-2140 (1979)(UK) Import issue record. "Chewing Hides the Sound" from 1979 is the peculiar and unique material of a cult
guitarist extraordinaire. Each song is a quirky island in a sea of sonic oddity. "Here Comes the Bums" is hip and cool while "Who Is the Culprit
and Who Is the Victim?" is tense and neurotic (the album opens up with a cover of "The Model" from Kraftwerk). A listen to this album forces
consideration of his immense contribution to the Residents' sound. The Record and Cover are in excellent (Very Good++) condition...$30.00

Snakefinger Greener Postures lp

Snakefinger Manual of Errors lp
Snakefinger / Greener Postures
Ralph Records SN-8053 (1980)(US) Standard issue record. "Greener Postures" runs from the edgy depression ballad "Living in Vain" to "I Come
From an Island" with an oppressive beat and stark message that could come from the Residents' "The Mole Show". English avant-guitarist
Philip Charles Lithman, aka Snakefinger, began an association with the Residents in 1969, before the group even had that name.
The Record and Cover are in excellent (Very Good++ to Mint-) condition (with "Buy-or-Die" inner sleeve)...$15.00

Snakefinger / Manual of Errors
Ralph Records SN-8203 (1982)(US) Standard issue record. In the early '80s, while the Residents were engulfed in touring, Philip Charles Lithman,
aka Snakefinger formed a band, the Vestal Virgins, with members of Pere Ubu and assorted Bay Area groups, and recorded "Manual of Errors".
Here was a breakthrough — with only a few songs co-written with the Residents, Lithman showed he could make it as a true solo artist.
The Record and Cover are in excellent (Very Good++ to Mint-) condition (with "Buy-or-Die" inner sleeve)...$25.00

The Sneetches / 1985-1991 (Sold Out)
Alias Records A-016 (1991)(US) Original issue Record. "1985-1991" is not a best-of collection. Instead, it remixes and reissues the band's
debut album "Lights out With the Sneetches" and adds outtakes, some non-album sides and four excellent new recordings. The 80's Pop icons,
The Shoes join the fun on a cover of the Raspberries' "I Wanna Be With You". The Sneetches, like the dB's, revived the sounds of
'60s British Invasion pop and '70s power pop but were far more substantial. The Record is in excellent (very Good++) condition
and the Gatefold Cover is in nice (Very Good+) condition (with bottom right corner wear)...$15.00 (SOLD 09/09)

Snoop Doggy Dogg / Doggystyle (Sealed) (Sold Out)
Interscope/Death Row Records 92279 (1993)(US) Original issue Sealed Record. "Doggystyle" is a continuation of "The Chronic" with the same
production, same aesthetic and themes and same reliance on guest rappers. The best thing is, it's as good as "The Chronic". There are two keys
to its success, one belonging to Dr. Dre and the other to Snoop Dogg. Now, "Doggystyle" and "The Chronic" stand proudly together as
the twin pinnacles of West Coast G-funk hip-hop of the early '90s. The Record and Cover are in perfect (Mint) condition...$40.00 (SOLD 07/11)

Hank Snow / The Guitar Stylings of Hank Snow
RCA Victor Records LSP-3548 (1966)(US) Original issue Record. An excellent album but during the latter half of the '60s, hank Snow's career
had slowed down considerably, as he wasn't able to make the transition to the new, heavily orchestrated country-pop sounds, nor was he able to
keep pace with the twangy roll of Bakersfield. Instead, his singles placed in the lower reaches of the charts, while his concerts
and Grand Ole Opry appearances continued to be quite popular. The Record and Cover are in great (Very Good+) condition...$15.00

Son Volt / Straightaways (Sealed) (Sold Out)
Warner Bros. Records 46518 (1997)(US) Original issue Sealed record. On "Straightaways", Jay Farrar's songs live on the same late-night
backwoods rural highways that "Trace" inhabited, with song titles like "Creosote" and "Cemetery Savior" conjuring up dark imagery.
The album contains plenty of high points: the aforementioned songs, as well as the lonesome "Back Into Your World"
and "Last Minute Shakedown." The brand new Record and Cover are in excellent (Mint) condition...$25.00 (SOLD 05/08)

Son Volt / Wide Swing Tremolo (Sealed) (Sold Out)
Warner Bros. Records 47059 (1995)(US) Original issue Sealed record. "Wide Swing Tremolo" is a wide-open, rocking album with precious little
of the overt country influences found on previous Son Volt works. Instead, this album is driven by R.E.M.-like arpeggio guitar riffs and
muscular, warm rhythms. It's a strong album. The brand new Record and Cover are in excellent (Mint) condition...$25.00 (SOLD 05/08)

The Sons of Champlin / The Sons of Champlin
Goldmine Records GM-94930 (1975)(US) Original issue Record. The Sons of Champlin were one of the later and more obscure bands to emerge

The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion! / Now I Got Worry (Sealed)
Matador Records ole-193 (1996)(US) Sealed Original issue Record. Where "Orange" had some awkward attempts at funk, "Now I Got Worry"

their wild, intense live show on record. The Record and Cover are in excellent (Mint) condition...$15.00

CBS/Epic Records E-52907 (1994)(US) Original, brand new (Sealed) Record on Colored vinyl. Their second album, 1994's “Turn It
Upside Down” didn't sell as well when it was released, because the first single, "Cleopatra's Cat," was an unsuccessful experiment
in funk for them. But the second single, "You Let Your Heart Go Too Fast," was in the vein of "Two Princes," and the album sold well
after the song was released. The Record and Cover are in excellent (Mint) condition...$25.00

Leigh Stephens (Blue Cheer) / Red Weather (Audiophile)(Import)
Akarma Records AK-059 (1999)(Italy) Limited Edition Audiophile Record. Red Weather was the first solo project from the lead
guitarist of Blue Cheer. Originally released on the Phillips/Mercury label in 1969, the album immediately became a favorite on the
underground music scene and established Leigh Stephens as a solo act. The music on Red Weather was dramatically different than
that of Blue Cheer, with a well structured psychedelic sound like Quicksilver or the Grateful Dead rather than the sledgehammer
hard rock sound of his former band. The Record and Cover (in shrinkwrap) are in excellent (Mint-) condition...$40.00

Dave Stewart and the Spiritual Cowboys Promo lp
Dave Stewart / Dave Stewart and the Spiritual Cowboys (Promo)
Arista Records AL-8626 (2003)(US) Promotional issue Record. Dave Stewart's voice has a Bowie-like quality to it (with a touch of menace)
and suits the songs well, and it's interesting to consider how they would have sounded sung by Annie Lennox. Overall, Dave Stewart and the
Spiritual Cowboys, is a lost gem of an album and something most Eurythmics fans will want to hear.
The Record and Cover are in excellent (Mint-) condition...$15.00

"Shuffle It All" was the first single from Stradlin and the Ju Ju Hounds' eponymous 1992 debut. Even with all the sliding guitar and

More than anything, "Shuffle It All" demonstrates what a great songwriter Stradlin was when he was on top of his game.
